Everyone has their own way of making pulled pork. But…….Here is the best one out there and yes there are several secret ingredients which I am going to share with you.
8 to 9 lb. Pork Shoulder with the bone in.
Your favorite rub
12 or so Garlic cloves
2 large onions quartered
5 Carrots cut into three or four pieces
1 Bottle of Sam Adams beer (secret ingredient)
1 Can of Campbells Golden Mushroom soup (secret ingredient)
1 Can Campbells French onion soup (secret ingredient)
1 pound of white mushrooms whole or sliced up
2 or 3 oz. of apple cider vinegar
Put everything in a large Dutch Oven, ——except the apple cider vinegar ——-and then cover the pork with the rub and I mean cover it ….don’t be a little pansy.
Put in the oven (covered) at 300 for five hours.
After you separate the pork to shred from the rich dark Bavarian Gravy you just made add 3 or so ounces of good apple cider vinegar and mix that into the pork.
If you are feeling really hardy and motivated sever it with Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Beets and Sauerkraut.
Call all your friends and have them bring heavy German wheat beer.
